OBLIGATIONS & RESPONSABILITY

• Méribel Réservation guarantees the same public prices as its suppliers.
•The conditions applicable for the reservation, the payment and the modification or cancellation of accommodation or any other service are those given in the paragraphs below.
• Meribel Reservation’s business liability insurance: no. AH340275 by GENERALI assurances.
• The client must have a legitimate insurance policy to cover damage of any kind to the rented property, which could become his responsibility. Méribel Réservation declines all responsibility if the client has not fulfilled this obligation.
• Accommodations and other services purchased are intended for the number of persons specified on the detailed description of the option contract. Before to confirm, the client has to make sure that the description of the accommodation and every services included in the booking contract correspond to those required.
 

RESERVATION


1/ The option contract
• The option contract is the reservation contract.
By sending it back with his signature along with the payment, or only by filling in the payment form for the internet bookings, the client accepts the reservation contract and commits itself to pay the total costs of the holiday booked according to the payment conditions in the booking contract.
• The booking fee is 15,00 € in winter, 8,00 € in summer, for any booking over 2 nights, and is never refunded.
• An optional cancellation-interruption insurance is offered in the option contract by default. Its cost is 2,8% on the accommodation total amount. You can choose to refuse it by ticking the box provided. If not so, the cancellation insurance will be considered as accepted by Méribel Réservation and cannot be refunded.

2/ Payment & confirmation
• Your reservation is confirmed only when Meribel Reservation receives the signed option contract along with the requested payment before the expiry date, or for the internet bookings only, by filling in the payment form. A postmark has no validity. If you do not comply with our confirmation conditions, the options will be automatically cancelled.
• You will be asked to pay a deposit of 25% of the accommodation plus the booking charge & cancellation insurance for any reservation over 30 days prior to the arrival, 100% of the total cost of the stay for any reservation less than 30 days prior to the arrival.
• In any case the balance must be paid 30 days prior to the arrival at the latest. Any bookings that have not been paid for in by the agreed date can be considered by Méribel Réservation as cancelled.
• If you book at the last minute (less than 15 days before the start of your holiday), we will only accept payment by bank card.
• In the case of a bank transfer or a foreign cheque any bank charges are at the client's expense.
 

3/ Check in, on arrival
• The first day of your holiday, go and hand over the vouchers directly to the accommodation supplier (agency, hotel...).
• You will be asked to pay a security deposit, holiday tax and for any extra services on arrival at your accommodation. If you do not make these payments, you will not be allowed to enter the accommodation.
 

MODIFICATION & CANCELLATION


• Requests for modifications or cancellation to confirmed bookings must be made in writing.
• The only modifications deemed to be agreed are those notified by
 the return of a contract by MERIBEL RESERVATION.
An optional cancellation-interruption insurance is offered to cover you against the following cancellation costs:

CANCELLATION-INTERRUPTION INSURANCE


Contract no. FRBOPA 01679provided by ACE Europe & managed by PM CONSEIL ASSURANCES.
• the Insured is the person who has booked the holiday, his spouse or partner, their ascendants or descendants, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters or persons mentioned or designated on the hire contract.
• The insurance covers the TOTAL price of the holiday, less the insurance premium and the booking fees that the Insured may have to pay in the event of cancellation due to one of the covered events.
Its rejection will engender the above mentioned cancellation costs.
• The Insured must inform Méribel Reservation or the Insurer within FIVE DAYS of becoming aware of an incident.
• The Insurer is committed only to the full text of the contract and we will make it available on request.
 
1/ These are the main guarantees covered by the insurance :
 
Serious illness, serious injury or death of the Insured,By serious illness or injury is meant prohibition from travelling or practicing the activity which is the main aim of the holiday and justified by a sick leave or medical certificate.
 
Change to the Insured’s holiday dates made by his employer, on the condition that notification was given after the booking date.
 
Dismissal or professional transfer. The date of the event generating the cancellation must be later than the booking date.
 
Notification of an administrative or medical interview, or the obtaining of a job by the reserving party or his spouse (or partner).
 
Lack of snow or an excess of snow:
It must be established that more than 2/3 of the resort’s ski slopes and ski lifts are closed 48 hours before or after the date of arrival according to the resort snow bulletin.
 
Fire, explosion, theft, flood damage or natural events leading to significant damages to the Insured party’s home prior to his departure or during the holiday.
 
Prevention from reaching the resort by road, rail or air on the holiday start date and within the following 48 hours: as a result of obstructions, strikes, natural events, traffic accident involving the Insured, or theft of his vehicle.
 
Interruption to the holiday or deferred arrival:
Reimbursement calculated on a pro rata basis for the period not consumed. Interruption caused by one of the events set out in the Cancellation guarantee except lack or excess of snow.
 
2/Specific cancellation exclusions:
• Sickness or accident that the insured is aware of upon reserving, resulting in a treatment during the month before the rental reservation date.
• Pregnancy, except for any complications due to that condition, miscarriage, birth and consequences, within one month before the reservation date.
• Thermal treatment, need for aesthetic treatment (except as a result of an accident or sickness), psychiatric or psychotherapeutic treatment, including nervous breakdown.
• Accident caused by the practice of sport: flying, bobsleigh, skeleton, mountain climbing, ice hockey, car sports, scuba-diving.
 

RESPONSABILITY GUARANTEES:


1- Property damage as a result of fire, explosion, water damage, within a limit of EUR 15 245.
2- Glass coverage and other damages to the rented property during the stay period within a limit of EUR 2 287.
3- Civil liability – Within a limit of EUR 1 524 490 for every liability of the renter to the owner; within a limit of EUR 457 347 for neighbours and third party claims.
 
LITIGATION
Any litigation will be dealt with by the Tribunal de Grande Instance d’Albertville (Magistrate’s Court) in France (73200).
